AFI public health projects aim to protect people and their health with the help of society's organized effort. Our activities are directed at preventing various diseases (tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS), at prolonging life and promoting health.
Because each individual's health forms the health of the whole society we implement projects at various levels of public health. We start with individual health and the health of small social or ethnic groups, and then we move on to the health of a whole local administrative-unit and the health of our whole society,
AFI's public health projects ensure experience sharing and cooperation in planning and implementing health reforms in the system at the regional and national levels. In addition, we strive to find innovative solutions for our society's health problems through collaborative relationships with similar structures in other states and international organizations that are active in this field.
AFI represents the interests of vulnerable groups in national and international bodies in the health development field. Currently, AFI administers the Secretariat of the CSO Platform of the organizations that are active in the fight against TB and the Secretariat of the KAP Committee (key-Affected populations), which represents the interests of key populations affected by TB and HIV/AIDS nationwide. Moreover, AFI participates in the technical working groups of the National Coordination Council of the programs for prevention and control of HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections and tuberculosis.
