The role of AFI social worker is to provide the necessary support to vulnerable groups so they could access TB prevention and treatment services.
As a social worker, Ina, ensures the completion of the social investigation form and the effective link between the TB specialist, the family doctor and patient in order to enhance the quality of the TB treatment. She also performs counseling and information sessions with TB patients and their families to ensure treatment continuity.
Other responsibilities include referral to social services in the community, support for distribution in temporary shelters and preparation of documents (including documents for conferring a degree of disability).
